Kim's Game is a classic observation and memory exercise: you memorise a set of objects, then identify which one was removed. It was first described in Rudyard Kipling's 1901 novel Kim · where the eponymous boy spy is trained to recall trays of objects at a glance · and is still used in intelligence and military training today. PlayMemorize Ghost is the digital version with emojis instead of physical objects.

Yes. PlayMemorize is a Progressive Web App. Once loaded, you can play without an internet connection · every emoji and every translated name is bundled at install time.

How does the difficulty scale?

The grid size ranges from 2 to 40 emojis. The memorisation window shrinks with each correct round, so the same setting gets tighter as the streak grows. Tempo (slow / normal / fast) sets the starting window. At hard difficulty the answer options are pulled from the same category as the grid, so you cannot eliminate by topic.

Why does the grid reshuffle after the flash?

Because the point is to remember the set of items, not their position. If the grid stayed put, the answer would just be the empty cell · trivial. Shuffling forces you to compare "what's here now" against "what was here a second ago" without the spatial crutch, which is the real Kim's Game skill.
